Disappearing leaves problem
Hey there!
I've got a little question to which solution is probably quite simple. I've put loopix plant as a "Terrain". The problem is that from the distance the animated leaves disappear while the trunks are still visible.
Any help would be much appreciated!

RE: Disappearing leaves problem
Just to show what it looks like:
Leaves in the first row of trees are visible but in the second row you can see only trunks.

RE: Disappearing leaves problem
I had this problem with some trees when I first started with level design.
In my case changing the technique used on the leaf texture solved this. I think Leaf caused the issue whilst Blend Light Leaf was ok.
The alpha setting has an effect on the distant visibility too. I had to experiment with combinations to get it looking right.

RE: Disappearing leaves problem
So the only way is change material type to blend light leaf? There is no option to change this by code or something?

RE: Disappearing leaves problem
This is because Alpha channel of subsequent texture lods gets smaller, and opacity decreases, especially if you're using alpha testing.
Try to change Alpha material value, and/or alpha channel on the texture.

RE: Disappearing leaves problem
This happens when you set the leaves on trees to "grass" If i change the grass view range i can see all of them.

@scotty1121, yep! Increasing grass view range did the trick!
