Strange problem with folders/gui editor
Hey all, I'm having this very odd problem with the GUI Editor.
Let me first start off by saying, my group and I have an SVN set up. Inside this SVN is where Esenthel and all of the tools/data are stored. That most likely doesn't matter though.
So the problem: Say for example I have a png located in SVN\Client\Data\Gui\SomeFolder and I try to import that into the GUI Editor, all I get is a white or invisible box and the path line disappears.
However, if I have a png located in SVN\Client or anywhere else, it will let me import it just fine. It seems like, for some reason, any subfolder of Client has this problem.
Just wondering if any of the brilliant minds here could deduce why this is happening...
Thanks,
Iron

No, I don't believe so.
Also, say if I actually remove the Data folder from the Client folder and put it on the desktop, it works fine. Really strange...

RE: Strange problem with folders/gui editor
That sounds strange indeed, but it might be permission problem, what operating system?
could also be the length of folder structure but its unlikely

RE: Strange problem with folders/gui editor
Using Windows 7. I've checked all the permissions and they seem to be normal, compared to any other folder...
Additional note - Apparently, it works fine for my friend, though. He's also using Windows 7 and using the same SVN as well. Very odd...

Well better reason to think its permission problem.
Antivirus/firewalls can affect this too, do you both use the same AV and Firewall?
But as I said it could be that folder length is too long, lets make a example C:Users/name/document and settings/mysvn/subsvnfolder/Gamespecificfolder/client/sub/sub etc might get too long

RE: Strange problem with folders/gui editor
Thanks, Zervox. For some reason it still isn't working.
But, I have found a way around it. I just use the Converter tool to convert to the gfx format before I import into the Gui editor. It might be a little longer, but it works just fine.
Thanks for your help.
