Esenthel 1 download
Hi,
where can I download the old version of esenthel ?
I am interested in the one with the chm guide and the demo files in C++
I would like to have it so I can copy it in my ipad to study code while I travel.
Maybe someone could share his in dropbox or similar ?
thanks
Fred

RE: Esenthel 1 download
Thank you Esenthel,
I know and I am currently testing 2.0, I just needed it for my ipad.
here's a link to the "old" documentation in chm for those interested, also useful in case you don't have an internet connection. The documentation is on Esenthel 1 but most of things are also valid for 2.
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/7457035/Esenthel.chm
thanks

Thanks for the chm file Fred
Just for information: if anyone just gets the message 'Navigation to the webpage was canceled' in the viewing pane when using the chm file then right click the file in Windows Explorer and chose Properties and click Unblock at the bottom of the properties panel.

EE 1.0 is no longer available for people who have not bought that license, please use 2.0.
I'm attaching C++ tutorials from 1.0
So what can do users who used free version of EE 1.0 for their projects? They also won't have access to EE 1.0 (when for example someone needs redownload full SDK) and updates to it? How they can continue their projects if EE 2.0 has limit to 64 resources in project? Buying license is the only solution?

RE: Esenthel 1 download
doesn't 1.0 come with 2.0? I know that it used to. I'm going to do an update on my 2.0 to find out.

@Harry: 1.0 was withdrawn from the store (only people who bought the license can access it)
if you still have 1.0 on your disk then you can continue to use it for non-commercial use.
But I really recommend to purchase 2.0 license.

1. If EE 1.0 is no longer available why attach tutorials from 1.0?
2. Can you please attach v2 tutorials?
3. Or better still allow for exporting of code?
Why? because, I'm having a hard time switching between my project and the tutorial project (My PC wont run 2 EE clients & launch a build (Cant create render targets. your GPU does not support some formats, or it ran out of available memory. failed to create shadow buffer) and because I cant extract the tutorial in a way that makes sense (like v1).
It makes learning a lot harder in v2 and would appreciate any advice.
Thanks.

RE: Esenthel 1 download
I'm still using EE1. what I have not found yet is an exact description of the limitations of the EE2 demo. (beside the 64 resources limit)
if you need to reinstall your pc, imo you can zip your actual EE1 folder, and can extract it later again when you are ready. there is a description in the EE1 Documentation.chm under Installation on Windows, what files and where are placed in VC++. and can use autoupdate afterwards. maybe I'm wrong.

Does that mean that i need to use EE 2.0 despite the fact that i have, for example, 20k+ lines of code in my project in VS2010 and EE 1.0? And even if i'm fond of VS2010?

RE: Esenthel 1 download
Nope. The engine code is still being updated, so hack away with 1.0 and VS.
