How to build Server.exe?
Hi Esenthel,
Ok now we have the source licenses for us developers and binary license for artist, and in future we will probably get it for other team members who will use the Editor for just adding, editing, syncing assets.
Our problem is that when we build the engine/editor for ourselvers for coders, our version will be different than the binary license users have. Our team leader runs Server.exe on his PC but it seems we need update this Server.exe, as when we rebuild the source, the server disregards the connection with different version message.
It is possible to build the Server application?
I found sources in Editor Source\_Build_\Esenthel in VS Project, which have Server.cpp but Im not sure how to build it. Other question, that it is legal from license viewpoint? We would need a solution team wise, working with the latest version we developers create.
Can you help please or give other idea how to solve this problem if our plan is not possible?
thanks,
Gabor

RE: How to build Server.exe?
Or can be I misunderstand how it works...
Maybe we just need load and save the project on that PC with the new built editor, and then start server.exe.

RE: How to build Server.exe?
Hi,
Please open this project:
Esenthel\Editor Source\h3kv^1fvcwe4ri0#ll#761m7
from within Esenthel Editor.
It has the "Server" app inside it, which you can recompile and copy to your other team members.
Hope this helps
