Upcoming Improvements
Thought that Esenthel's LOD generation was cool?

Well it's about to get even better.

One of the many improvements that are coming for the next release, is improved LOD generation.

On the left side:
-original mesh vs old LOD method

On the right side:
-original mesh vs new LOD method

Notice how the old method distorted the sword and wings UV coordinates.
While the new method handles UV much better.

RE: Additional LOD generation improvements
Nice! This will probably also help increase performance, as we can now be more generous in using LODs. smile
Did you also think about the billboard generation for foliage, by any chance? pfft

Something tells me that the next patchlog will be quite huge.

Are you thinking it's because it's a 3-month long update?

That, but also after seeing all the updates in the beta branch. I guess it's mainly just a lot of small improvements.

RE: Upcoming Improvements
Undo comes to the Project Region itself smile

If you've accidentally made these operations on the elements:
-removed
-restored
-changed publishing
-changed parents (moved to other elements)

Then you will be able to simply undo/redo them in the next release with the handy new option in the right-click menu:

RE: Upcoming Improvements
Hello Esenthel !
Would it be possible to get an estimatioon of the release date of the top 5 elements of your road map ?

It will bring a lot of visibility for my project (and presumably other members of the community here)
Many thanks smile

RE: Upcoming Improvements
Sorry there's no ETA, I'm currently working on other features.
BTW I don't see your licensed developer status on the forum.
Please know you need to have a license to work with the engine.
Thank you

RE: Upcoming Improvements
Okay.

I have suspended my source code license this year because I had limited time to work on my projec and they are some key features for it that are not already available in the engine... That's why I wanted to estimate the development / release date of those to make my decision about the license renewal or not wink

Thanks for your answer
