It is not the actual grid itself, what I was showing is in the heightmap. You can see the same thing with the grid turned off....

Okay, here is how things went for me:
1) painted the land. As I did i noticed the grid lines in the heightmap disappear.
2) saved the new map and exited.
3) reloaded world. Lines were back.

Yes, png does work. However any format of dds does not. I apologize for not being clear in my last statement. That was not too clear.

I see the same lines though very faint, in your finished product also. I wonder what is doing that though. For me, because a few of the areas are suppose to be dark, they show up really bad as you can... |
