Nah.. it's not a beginners engine obviously.
It's very condensed and powerful and difficult to document properly.
If you want hand holding, try a better documented engine to learn the basics which can be applied EASILY it to EE.
Saying that, you can start your own blog/youtube/wiki site and document it yourself while you learn.

Having an official user Wiki would be pretty cool. When someone figures something out, they have the option to update the wiki.
