New Alpha Test Dither looks weird
It is glad to see new update in this morning. There is a feature I really care and look forward long time

"added new material technique MTECH_ALPHA_TEST_DITHER allowing to draw semi transparent materials using alpha-test with dithering (works best with TAA) thanks to this you can get smooth transparency effect and still get correct depth sorting and being able to use all lights"

But it is not good as my expectation, please take a look at attachment

There is not smooth transparency, there are many tiny dot instead, it looks worse when using with TAA. those dots dance like TV screen static

I tried a simple gradient alpha map, and result is not nice too
Did I miss something need to be setup

Hi,

"Did I miss something need to be setup" - no
It just works like that.

It might not be good for your usage case, but you can use it for other cases, like for example smoothly fade in/fade out objects.

Only material technique "Blend Light" or "Test Blend Light", but that supports only 1 light (directional).
