RE: Shadow
What values can I enter?
At D.shdMapSize(2048) shadow is still ulgy, and at D.shdMapSize(4096) game is crashing.

RE: Shadow
shadow map size depends on capabilities of your hardware

you can also decrease viewport range, or use D.shdFrac

or use the new mechanism from the latest SDK
D.shadow_step, point it to custom function where you can return custom fraction value for each shadow map split range
