.mtl file with my model !
Hello,

I need some help, cause with my .obj file the textures are not in a dds or a targa but into a .mtl ! :|

I dont know how to open this file to convert into other format. (google dont know to pfft )

Do Esenthel can use .mtl in mesh editor ? I tried, it doesnt, but i'm not a pro with Esenthel.

Thanks !

Re: .mtl file with my model !
The .mtl files are external references to the materials used in the .obj files. They define materials by values for the various channels like diffuse, ambient, specular, alpha or texture map. They are essential to the original Wavefront OBJ format.

Yes, I used Dryad Tree Generator, and the generator give me only two files, the .obj and the .mtl, but no textures images with the .mtl !
So when I use the .obj and the .mtl in the Mesh Editor, I just have the model...

Re: .mtl file with my model !
I will paste the .mtl file later, cannot now on this pc.

I have just another question, in the mesh editor, when I open a model, I use two texture for the model, how can I use TWO textures in the mesh editor ? (for example a tree : targa texture for the head and png texture for the trunk)

Thanks.

Re: .mtl file with my model !
you need to apply each material for each mesh part separately
just use -= keys to access different mesh parts

Re: .mtl file with my model !
Okay thanks, it works fine.

But how to open the material editor of "PART" of the mesh ?
Cause when I drag a new texture in the mesh editor (on a part of model) it texture all the model and not the part.

(sorry for my low english D: )

Re: .mtl file with my model !
I guess you missed the Mesh Editor documentation, please read it carefully.
youll need to set multiple materials for each part
