Gui editor
Hey,

I really miss some functions in the GUI editor.

1: There is only a style editor for text and boxes but not for scrollbars, buttons etc.

2: Close and Minimize button at the upper right corner.

3: Something that i can create the whole Main menu GUI or ingame GUI in 1 .gobj file. Now i have to create lots of .gobj to put a GUI together.

4: Functions you can hide panels en show. Now its just add or delete.

5: A list of all Windows/Regions you have; so you can easily click on the panel you want to edit.

6: Creating tabs and select which panel u want to connect with it.

7: Possibility to create tabs dynamically on the run and link panels to it.

8: Radio buttons for if and else combination.

9: Selection Form, region with selection.

10: Possibility to change the color of Slide-bar and up and down cursors. At the moment there is only Back Color :(

11: Proportions is quite hard to see how it works in game for example. I use 1920*1080 resolution and when i make a box in the gui editor against the red line... its not the same in the game. Probably the red line is 16:10 and 1080p is 16:9.

This is for now, sorry for the long request list pfft

Thnx,

RE: Gui editor
5: A listbox on the side to list ALL GUI objects you create for easy access. Not just Windows and Regions, and sort them after type.

RE: Gui editor
Yeah, it would be very nice to see these improvements implemented, especially number 3.

RE: Gui editor
I agree that the gui editor must be improved, and easier way to texture object. And set the exact pixel sizes for objects.

What I do not like with the GUI is that if you move the object around on the screen, then they do not have the same sharpness in all positions. In some positions the texture gets blurry and in some places the texture is sharp.

He said that we must Pixel assign all object when you move them around. This should be done automatically.

RE: Gui editor
I agree that the GUI editor needs improvement if it is supposed to be used in a productive way. Especially points 5, 6 and 7.
5 is the most important. There should be a node-like view showing all the objects. The same would be very helpful in the world editor as well. wink
