Hey Esenthel, take a look at this...


And here is an XNA implementation of it...


Not sure how it compares performance wise with a deferred renderer, but it seems to have some advantages. Anyway, just passing it on in case you hadn't seen it before. Could be of interest for the engine if it gives the same visual result with better performance.
