RE: FBX Support
Isnt the format DAE almost the same? If you use 3dMax/c4d/blender it works just fine tho

There is always evil somewhere, you just have to look for it properly.

RE: FBX Support
I would like FBX support as well. DAE is close but it requires a plugin in Maya to use. FBX would be simpler.

RE: FBX Support
Yes well can you let Esenthel work on more important stuff then just a import feature for someone that doesn't want to install a simple export plugin? Correct me if im wrong..

RE: FBX Support
I know, I know. Theirs more important things. Was just saying that this would be nice. Actually I'm pretty sure this is on the roadmap (somewhere near the bottom)... ahh yes it is. Pretty close to the bottom though so I wouldn't expect it anytime soon.

RE: FBX Support
FBX is terribly inconsistent and frustrating to say the least from my extended experience.

Sometimes to the point where if you export something as FBX and import it back into 3DS/Maya you get something completely wrong/things missing etc.

I had the same experiences, that's why I didn't put much focus on finishing fbx import support many months ago when I tried it.

RE: FBX Support
sorry, I personally never used DAZ, officially supported are 3ds max/maya (through opencollada/fcollada), but I'm not saying there's no way to convert DAZ -> DAE, just don't know it

I never used it either, but outta curiosity to see what it does export to it says here it natively supports COLLADA (.dae) and .obj:

Is it broken or something? O.o
