Auto generate landscape

Auto generate landscape
I think about auto generate landscape for World Editor. You just click button generate random and it generate some landscapes smile.

It can be good idea.

Relatively...

But landscapes tend to be specialized for a specific purpose so I don't see much point in this. That and making a random landscape takes less than a minute.

there is other software for that purpose. i also saw a tutorial somewhere here how to do just that with 3rd party tool.

I assume that Esenthel can import a heightmap for terrain (ive never tried, but every engine ive ever used has this feature). If youre looking to generate random heightmaps, there are many free programs (terragen is my favorite free one by far), but if youre willing to spend a few dollars I would highly recommend L3DT. It is the absolute best tool for generating realistic worlds. I use their design map feature extensively to quickly generate a level prototype, then flesh it out in-engine.
