Favorite Game That No One Else has Heard Of
The title says it all. Give a few games (or just one) that you like that no one, or almost no one has heard of. Not Halo, COD etc.

I'll start with my 2:
Descent (1, 2 and 3) - It was a great and inovative game.
Metal Arms: Glitch in the System - A game way ahead of it's time. Featured destructible enemies and terrain on the Gamecube and original XBox! Amusing Story and great Gameplay. Easily my favorite game of all time. To bad Blizzard bought out the studio.

Master of Magic and Master of Orion are both on my favorite games list. I miss the Microprose days. I'd love to see Master of Magic make a comeback -- as long as it didnt got the route of MoO 3. I wasn't a fan of it.

I've read the Icewind Dale books. They came out with a game? Did not know that.

If I remember correctly Descent 4 got turned into Red Faction or something along those lines. Wikipedia told me so. smile

Yes, Nox was a great game! One of my favorites, back in the day. Great singleplayer campaign and awesome, unique multiplayer -- extremely fun. I don't know of any games out there today that offer the same kind of multiplayer experience that Nox did. It was like Call of Duty meets Oblivion/WoW.

I have no clue what the name was, but in the 90s (early) there was a racing game where you had to deliver packages etc. Only, you could hit pedestrians and even get weapons to help you kill all the pedestrians in the way. All i remember was the cover for the box was all blood red with a windshield wiper clearing the view and a trickle of blood going down.

After that - I go back to the real oldies - the first prince of persia, the first Final Fantasy, Dragon Warrior, Zelda, Ghosts n Goblins, Castlevania... where you can back to camp or just made it through a level with half the party dead or poisoned, almost nothing left but a successful quest. Where the gameplay made you shake with intensity to see if you'd make it or see the actual "game over" which is so rarely seen these days.

That is the sense of excitement and adventure that I am attempting to bring back with the project I am working on, only with in-depth, great graphics that Esenthel seems to be able to provide.

Edit:
Oh shoot - and the classic of them all - Wizardy!

Last time I checked Descent was a pretty old game. Or is 1999 and down not old enough?

By the way, if anyone ever wants to play Descent vs me, bring it on!
