fbx compatibility
I ve tried to import several fbx models (2012) and they are black. Recounting normals, etc does not help. Does it mean, that fbx 2012 is not supported?

RE: fbx compatibility
I use 3ds Max 2012 (FBX 2012.0) and everything works fine. Maybe it's the FBX 2012.1 and/or 2012.2 that are not supported. In 3ds Max when you export the model, you can set the FBX version. OpenCOLLADA work better with this engine also.

RE: fbx compatibility
I use maya 2012 with fbx 2012 and haven't had any problems.

Have you recently updated your video card drivers? Sometimes if they are outdated or recently updated it can cause weird issues like this. Check to make sure your drivers are up to date then run autoupdate. Usually this helps to solve this sort of issue.

RE: fbx compatibility
i swear by FBX 2010, and will use it until esenthel phases it out, even though i use 2012, you can choose which FBX version you use for exporting in the export options in 3ds max.

RE: fbx compatibility
I've checked your model and it has per-vertex colors and its all BLACK
in model editor\mesh\remove\vertex color
or make sure your models in 3ds max/maya has vertex colors set correctly or remove them

Thanks a lot! I really like these built-in mesh editor features, it is really saving lots of work.
