PhysX 3
Because I want to include unified physics system in EE 2.0 for all platforms, I've decided to investigate physx 3.

Early progress:

RE: PhysX 3
That's a good news indead.
I've some concerns too, about the inclusion of EE 1.0 in the update. I hope it'll be an SDK update and not just an EE 2.0 one.
Keep up the good news.

Looks like it will be 3.0/3.1 according to the roadmap

RE: PhysX 3
This is very good news indeed.

I would assume it would be the latest 3.2.2 as there would be little point in integrating an older version? I think the roadmap is just out of date.

I would also assume that this would be an SDK update and not specific to EE 2.0 as this integration would affect many areas of the SDK. EE 2.0 is just a tool, it isn't the actual engine itself.

RE: PhysX 3
It's realy nice, thank for your hard work smile. The last version available in the PhysX developer website is 3.2.1 from what i have see.

Also if you want/have the time the sample in PhysX-3.2.1_PC_SDK_Core\Samples\SampleVehicle would be a good addition to the tutorials.

RE: PhysX 3
Latest version of PhysX is used, the roadmap was out of date.

Progress:
Done:
-Actors
-Joints
-Ragdolls
-Controller
-Phys Materials
-Phys Bodies (including loading PhysX 2 cooked data)
-Testing (sweep/ray/cuts)
-collision ignore per-actor
-Cloth (partially finished)

Next:
-Cars/wheels
-timestep, precision, ccd, skin

PhysX 3 removed features:
-no softbodies
-cloth does not interact with world actors, only with manually specified shapes (balls/capsules/planes)

RE: PhysX 3
Good progress with vehicles smile

PhysX 3 probably will be included in 1.0 as well, but not as quickly (first I need to thoroughly test it, and finish its implementation and few new API's, so probably it will be included first in 2.0 since it's also an Alpha and can have not yet fully tested/implemented physics).

PhysX 3 will work on Win Mac and Android, I have contacted Nvidia for iOS SDK but haven't received yet any reply so will wait more.

That's a good news.
Are the following features planned?
* hair simulation
* fluid simulation
* environmental physic (wind...)

if not, will there be?

RE: PhysX 3
Hi, those features are not really specific to physx3 and I will not be doing them in the nearest future.

Will those features be never implemented in Esenthel 2.0 ? Soft-bodies and tearable cloth would have been nice .....

@Juggernaut: Those elements are not supported by Nvidia PhysX 3 at all

New progress:
(vehicles will be available in Esenthel Engine 2.0 very soon, and remember that there's only couple days left with the 15% discount)
