RE: Character Animations
If you want to use the provided built-in Chr class, the way you set it up is as follows:

Notes
1. - Either copy OBJ_CHR from the tutorials project, or make your own with parameters as shown in the pic
5. - Drag & drop custom animations into appropriate slots, don't worry if you can't match all the animations, you can just use regular walk for walk left etc.

RE: Character Animations
Oke, Thank you very much!
Another Question: I have 1 animation file with all my animations stored in it.
What to do now?

Thanks,

Xander

RE: Character Animations
When you have your character open in the object viewer, you can drag and drop your animation file into the window and it will give you an option to load as animation. is that what you are looking for?

RE: Character Animations
How did you create your animations? What happens when you drag and drop the file into the model that does not help? You will have to provide a little more information if you are going to want people to be able to help you.

RE: Character Animations
Right click on your single track animation file in the editor, choose Duplicate, right click on the duplicate copy, choose reload and click on the start / end frame buttons to specify the range of frames for this animation. Repeat this step for the animations you need smile

RE: Character Animations
Try re-loading the animation file again, after you set start and end frames. (The start and end buttons need to be left on and I also assume you clicked 'yes' after setting them). This worked for me, and I just tested it to confirm it still works.

RE: Character Animations
When you reload and specify the start and end frames, it takes some time to process the reloading. During that time the animation preview will still preview the original animation. However, when it completes the processing the animation will be just the clip between the start and end frames entered.

RE: Character Animations
It has to do with the file format please fix this problem.
I read Collada was recommended but .FBX worked and .DAE didn't work.

I used the test character from http://www.3drt.com/downloads.htm

Greetings,

Xander

RE: Character Animations
Which Collada did you use? The 3D Studio Max builtin Collade will not function.
