World Editor
Hii its now 1 Yeahr but i am back now wink

I have tryed many Game Engines for now and i really need to say that the World Editor like in CryEngine3 is very good cause you see all what you make in front of you.

So this is the reason why i stopped on Esenthel cause i dont really like the World Editor the 3x3 Scare are not fine to handle (for me)

So is there maybe a way to make it to Infinity like on Cry Engine3 ..?

Thanks and Happy new Yeahr ^-^

RE: World Editor
What is it exactly that you are looking for in terms of Editor improvements?

I have to say as a programmer I find the editor does just what I need it to, everything else can be done in code.

The CryEngine Editor, like the Unity one, is a different approach ... very property based which suits some people. I personally prefer my level editors to be simpler and less cluttered.

But either way, I think you need to explain what it is you would ideally like to see.

RE: World Editor
I think what he was trying to say is that the editor displays only a certain amount of world areas (tiles,cells,...), it doesn't render the whole world. But I don't think it's as bad as 3x3.. and there's certainly an option to extend the working area both in 1.0 and 2.0 editors.. you can't go to infinity and the performance starts to drop badly, but you can extend it greatly beyond 3x3, which I agree isn't a very good range to be working on in large worlds.

RE: World Editor
Ah ok, that makes sense. The '3x3 Scare' didn't mean anything to me as I'm sure my editor (v2.0) defaulted to larger than this .. although I may have changed it in the early days of starting my project!

RE: World Editor
He meant "squares" instead of "scares". smile

As said above, you can indeed just make the viewable region a lot bigger.

RE: World Editor
You can make that view range a LOT bigger, depending on your performance. Please have a look at the keyboard overview smile
