Best way to dynamically replace terrain texture
I've been investigating the best way to replace terrain texture on the fly. The application for this applies to wide number of areas whose terrain texture is changed on the fly.

I understand that I have to add materials in the Area::Data::materials and change the material_map image. Also in that case, what exactly is saved in the material_map image (what byte values), etc?

Any advice or guidance on this would be greatly appreciated.
