Question regarding large terrains
Hello,
I downloaded the trail version and played with world editor a bit but I could not find what I was looking for. The engine says it supports unlimited worlds. How do I import one to the WE? I noticed that you drag and drop a heightfield image in the editor. Is this supposed to be the whole world? Because my world is supposed to be at least 50kmx50km with 1px/meter detail, which means a lot of GB of terrain data. I would guess that what happens is that that kind of terrain is stored in a lot of images, with appropriate naming to locate each part of the terrain (px Terrain.1.1, Terrain.1.2 etc).
Is this possible in Esenther?
How can u support very large terrains?
Thanks
Harris

RE: Question regarding large terrains
I don't intend to create such a huge terrain manualy, I will use a terrain generator application. My question is how do I load the whole terrain in WE in order to place the objects on it? Or do I do that for each part of the terrain independantly? And if I do this, won't it create different world files? How can I tell the engine this is a single terrain?
