VS2010
Visual Studio 2010 final version has just arrived (including completly free Express Edition)! So now I have a question: will Esenthel Engine migrate to new VS? I think it would be really very good.

it is not about being necessary or unnecessary...it is just a trend that regular products follow.

RE: VS2010
I'll check it out when I'll find some time (still very busy with finishing up and improving dx10/11)
I'm curious if working with vs2010 will be much better.

RE: VS2010
In my opinion this doesn't have to be done before a few months from now. New VS iterations usually take a few months before they are fully stable. So, in time it should be supported, but there is no need to hurry. wink

RE: VS2010
C++0x (the msvc compiler has some of it's new features) has some nice new language features (e.g. auto types, lambda functions etc).

VS2010 is already "supported" btw, I can compile my projects just fine.

Yes, it's just a matter of proper testing the new framework and all.
