Hi i just installed Esenthel I'm new to this community. I'm trying to get the tutorial working but when I build and run the tutorial it says that d3dx11_42.dll is missing. Strange maybe I have a corrupted file??

You need to install the latest version of Directx. If you're on a windows XP machine Directx 10 wont work. If so please check your settings in visual Studio and build in debug/release mode.

OK now I got a "can't create direct 3d swap chain" message when I try to run. I tried the latest direct X and the direct X SDK and looked for an update for my video card driver but there was none. I'm using Windows Vista on a 64 bit system with 6 gigs of ram and a ATI Radeon 4850 series video card. Update to windows 7?

You link DX10+ lib in your project. Change project settings.
