Terrain import explanations
When importing an externa terrain into the editor there are some parameters that would need some explanation. I think such documentation was present in the wiki previously but not now. So here we go.
What does the Radius = 5 acutally mean?
How does this go along with imported map-size?
This is a size. But a size of what? Is it related to Radius ?
What does Target X = 5 mean. How does this relate to the other values (if it does).
Thanks for any clarification on how this works

RE: Terrain import explanations
These parameters are related to area coordinates only.
I think that you can easily notice this when you change the parameters, and the big red cube/rectangle on the world changes its dimensions.
Just zoom out your camera as far as it can, and then modify these parameters

RE: Terrain import explanations
Ok. One more thing. Say i have a map 512x512 that should cover 1024x1024 meters. What would then those values be?

RE: Terrain import explanations
Hi,
Total distance = Area Size * Number of Areas
if you want 1024 for total distance, then
1024 = Area Size * Number of Areas
You specify the Area Size when you create a new world. You can also easily check it when using the "Cursor position information" in world editor and moving to the edge of a single area.
