Hello, I'm learning how to make a launcher client that automatically patches itself.
I think it shouldn't be too hard to learn with the tutorials but there isn't a tutorial for using the uploader.

Can I just setup my windows to be a ftp server with for example filezilla third party software or do I need to pay a webhost service? I would prefer to just host my own ftp server if that's possible while just learning and testing with esenthel.

In the uploader I need to write the ftp host name "ftp.domain.com" and http dest folder "www.domain.com/download".. so it sounds like I can only do this if I pay a webhost service like hostgator for example? the ftp host name ftp username and password is for hostgators ftp site that I will use to upload things to my domain hosted on hostgator? and http dest folder is where I will upload everything to on their ftp service?

True, it is a bit complicated. I believe the 'ineisis online' contains an example on how to use that. A short explanation is also in Documentation -> publishing apps.
