physx issue
Hi,
When i try to run the map editor it exits with an error message box telling me to check if the NxCooking.dll is pressent in the directory or if i have installed the system software.
Well the dll is present and I have installed the latest system software from nvidia.
I am running Vista x64 on this particular machine.
How can I fix this issue?
Thank you

Re: physx issue
Hello,
Have you installed this version of PhysX System Software? http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx_8.06.12_whql.html
Have you installed some other versions of PhysX System Software in the past?
Could you tell me your system configuration-
CPU, amount of Ram, Video Card (type and amount of ram)
Did the PhysX installation run without any problems?
Do you have enough room on your hard disk? (and partition C for the PhysX)
Maybe you could try installing PhysX with administrator rights.

Re: physx issue
Yes I have installed that version of the system software.
I had before the game software for 2.8.1 and at one point some drivers that contained the system software.
I also have the 2.8.1 sdk installed
My sytem config is: Intel e8400 cpu, 2 x nvidia 8800gt(512 mb each) on SLI, 4gb RAM
Yes the installer ran without any problems and when i checked the physics engines avalable it returned that i have from 2.3.x onward.
I have 30+gb on each drive including the one I have installed physx in.
Installing with the administrator rights did not help

Re: physx issue
Has any software using PhysX ran on your computer?
Have you tried running Esenthel Game Demo (which runs PhysX) ?
thanks for the answers, I'll try to investigate the problem

Re: physx issue
in the Installed PhysX Engines, does it show 2.7.2?
could you try uninstall all physx software (game system software and physx system software)
delete all PhysXLoader.dll files from Windows subfolders, and make a clean install of latest PhysX System Software 8.06.12

Re: physx issue
Neither of the applications work. Assuming that i have a general physx problem i have completely flushed out the nvidia drivers and reinstalled them all.
That did the trick.
