Making an MMORPG
Hey!
My idea is to create a 3D MMORPG like Runes of Magic or WoW, using Esenthel. Of course it would have some unique features. The idea is to make the game free, then make some downloadable content for money (like runescape). The quest and the story could be a little bit more complex than WoW, but the interface and GUI should be really simple like Runescape. I don't want a lot unique animations or characters, just something playable. The downloadable contents would be the more complex part of it.
So my question is: what things do i need to do in order to make a game like that?
And of course, everyone can join the development, i'll need a lot help

Also, if you would like a history lesson - to make sure you don't make the same mistakes, have a look at all of this users posts, to see a typical progression:

RE: Making an MMORPG
I been working on mine for years. LOL. found this amazing engine awhile back and it is rock solid. Hey, making a MMO is a painful experience but if you keep at it you can do it.
Good luck

RE: Making an MMORPG
Well, if you buy the personal license, you already get access to the source code of the Esenhel RPG 2 and the MMO and more.
And that for only 150 USD, which is about €108 now (Do you use the latest index, Esenthel?)
Hell, come to think of it now.. I think I'll just buy a personal license after I'm done with my exams now. Will I be able to make something "big" already? Nop, but for that price, I don't mind just having it to play around with it. Since I plan on starting a game in a year or something anyway.
