I was unaware that IE9 cannot run on WinXP. Considering that more people use WinXP than any other OS on the market today, that seems like a very bad decision by Microsoft.
Although, I can understand why they did it. They're trying to phase out WinXP and give an extra incentive for people to upgrade to Win7.

When I finished writing that, I was thinking, "how long until some works it out over a year?"

RE: Web Browsers
i use srware iron 10, its based on chromium, so its essentially a google chrome, except all privacy unfriendly features are removed.
so i have tried firefox4, i was very surprised to see dramatic speedup. actually when i did javascript benchmark firefox outperformed chromium, i was shocked. however in general usage firefox still feels just a little bit slower than chromium. too bad, because addons for chrome are not that good as for firefox, one of the reasons i guess is bit poor api in chrome.. anyway i stick to chromium. didnt try IE9, after all these years i am somehow convinced that microsoft just sucks in making web browsers. used opera long time ago, its somewhat bloated. well at least they support addons too..

RE: Web Browsers
I'm using firefox, because I've been using it all my (online) life. ^^
But It regurarly hangs for no good reasons, so I guess there are better browsers such as Chrome.

RE: Web Browsers
Chrome user from day 1, and it's been living up to expectations.
best browser.
Edit: well actually, a proper chromebug(firebug port) is missing, aside from that nothing to point out.

RE: Web Browsers
Bah, Firefox=Weaker Opera. Many of Chromes and Firefox's newest features have been in Opera for ages. And Opera Turbo really helps on a slow connection. You would be surprised just how much.

RE: Web Browsers
I will have to say there is a Firefox 7 is available now, and I was updating this yesterday, because I need to play browser games like Skyrama, Operation Gamma 41, Star Trek Infinite Space and a few games.
I hate IE browsers, because it is becoming slowly each time Microsoft updates it.

Firefox 8.0 beta here...
It's striking how often they increment the version number..
