In 1.0 you can use mobile optimization (last tab of converter) on a copy of your Data folder to produce a downsampled copy of your assets for mobile builds, does EE 2.0 do this in some way?

EE 2.0 will automatically optimize for best texture compression format, but will not resize the images.
