Survey - What are your PC specs?
I am going to buy a new PC to work with Esenthel Engine. I would like to start a survey and ask your PC specs, so I will analyze the hardware specs of many members of the community and this will help me to choose my PC parts.
Thank you for answers, please specify CPU, GPU and RAM. Your answer will help me to choose a good PC.
PS. The budget is ~€1000.
Esenthel Source License + Windows 8 = 280
So the budget for the hardware is about €720.
I think that the best choice is Intel CPU + AMD GPU. Do I need a beefy PC to use Esenthel ( my game project contains a lot of physics simulation)?

RE: Survey - What are your PC specs?
Esenthel runs fine with mine, so 1,5 year ago that i looked for CPU models an I5 was considered quite good taking into account the price increase of I7s at the time. I also do think that a Nvidia GPU will be a better and safer solution overall but i'm far from being an expert on those matters.

I use AMD FX-8320 8 core cpu
HD7850 and 24GB memory : )
I see Esenthel doesn't have code that checks how many hyperthreads there are to actual physical cores.

RAM is never too much
I use no pagefile, i can run several virtual machines and EE at once. It's very comfortable to work when you are not at the limit of your PC.

If you don't really need to make huge open worlds / place lots of dynamic lights / have lots of objects / ..
Then you can get away with a normal computer.
I'm developing on my laptop. Sure, I'll have some problems with a huge world with lots of vegetation, but that's not really what I'm developing anyway.
That being said, it's nice to have the option available. Having good hardware is always fun!

RE: Survey - What are your PC specs?
My game project is an arena game, so I think I need a lot of RAM. I would like to get the source license of Esenthel because I've seen on Internet that it's a very advanced game engine. I saw a video on Youtube that shows the GUI editor, in which you can create your own buttons, progress bar etc. And you have only to drag and drop assets. WOW!
And the community is very, very friendly.
Other engines have not these features
By the way, what is a "legacy license"? I've read that some users in this forum have this tag.

The Esenthel engine has gone through a couple different types of licensing. Legacy licensees still have an older version of the engine that doesn't get updated anymore, but also has different license restrictions (such as: license is per-application, per-team, ...)
