Dark side of an object in space is illuminated anyway
Hi. I'm new here and i have little experience with Esenthel.
Excuse me in advance for my english,i am italian.
I'm creating a simulation of the solar system and i'm just at the beginning.
I'm trying to add highlights to planet earth to give some realism,so i'm using a smooth map to exclude lands from the highlights with a little reflection. The sun is a point light for now.
The problem is that much of the side of the earth not reached by the sun's rays is also illuminated (even if reflection = 0). Ambient color (material and environment) is black.
The dark side,in the space shoud be dark.
I've tried using material editor and creating a material with code, but the result is the same.
A solution could be smooth = zero on the points not illuminated by the sun,it means a sort of dynamic mask
Any idea? Thanx smile
