Good Day!

I am trying to install Esenthel on Linux Mint(below specifications)
OS: Linux Mint 20.2 Cinnamon
Mint ver: 5.0.7

Following the instructions on the link (https://www.esenthel.com/?id=doc#Installation) , I run the below command and it successfully installs all packages.

sudo apt-get install libxmu-dev libxi-dev libxinerama-dev libxrandr-dev libxcursor-dev libudev-dev libopenal-dev libmotif-dev unixodbc-dev lib32stdc++6 libgl1-mesa-dev libz-dev libxxf86vm-dev clang

Then, I download the “Esenthel Linux Installer.zip”, and extract it to the downloads folder(as shown in the screenshot), the OS refuses to run the installation file. Is there any other package I am supposed ot run for the executable to run on Linux mint pls?
   


If you see, I have downloaded the package again, (just to be sure) and I tried to run the executableagain, but it has failed to show any difference from before.

Also, pls note, I have changed the properties to allow the executable to run in the permissions section, and still it does not do anything when I double click on it. Nothing pops up or no terminal opens to show installation happening

You can try to run it from terminal, and see any errors there.

Dear Admin, thanks for the response..
I tried to run the program from the terminal, and I received the below error..

./EsenthelLinuxInstaller: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.33' not found (required by ./EsenthelLinuxInstaller)

Kindly help...

I have tried a few solutions from the below posts, and I am trying out others as I write this.. So far no success...

Sorry don't know any solution for that.
For Linux I've used Ubuntu.
Windows is my primary machine.

Kindly do not close this ticket until there is a fix for Linux OS.

I say this as I have borrowed a win10 pc from my friend to start working with the engine and learn about it. But the Linux OS being my primary OS, I wish to use that for production. So if there are any other eSenthel fans or users, and they are kind to help with a fix for the one "GLIBC" package, then it would be helpful in the future for many souls like me.

Thanks... Hoping there will be a way provided to install that lib.. or that lib will be available within the package itself in the future installations.. or its dependency totally removed..
