In IDLE all Tools warming up the GPU + CPU
Hello!
I´m german and my english is not so good :-)
When you use any tool, like converter or editor, and you minimize the app,
the GPU is still calculate something, and its warming up the GPU. Could
it be , the sync is in minimize or "hidden" modus not working and the GPU calculate it so fast it can? I have a ATI 4850 -> ( known for the high temp - at full capacity almost >85 °C ) and the fan runs a lot of faster when the IDLE is on. ( Only when I minimize or hide the window, when I´m in the editor etc. it doesent speed up the fan -> it will be sync? ).
I have a quad-core ( 4 real cores, and 4 htt cores = 8 cores :- ) )
and dual core system, I tested only with the dual core
system, and the tools are in "hidden or minimize" mode by 50 % !!!
( 100 % on a single core system !!) This isn´t good, right?!
I think its esay to fix it, or not?
EE is really a good, fast, cheap and well designed engine, but some
building-designs of the tools I dont like.
I know, when users learn how to convert or create new objects
with editor or converter, its easy. But I missed some information
or a "Menu-Strip" and a message like "Would you really quit without saving?". I know the videos about converting etc. but more information
is better :-)
Or a statusbar how much % is the operation finished.
Some stuff like that would it be much nicer to use the tools:-)
Its only a few samples I have.
The new editor design is really awesome, I like it!
Merry Christmas and a happy new year!

RE: In IDLE all Tools warming up the GPU + CPU
Hello,
Thanks very much for ideas and suggestions!
The CPU usage when inactive will be fixed in next SDK.
Merry Christmas to you too!
