Precise rotational controls
Hello.

I apologize in advance if this feature exists and I just cannot find it.

The World Editor currently allows you to enter precise coordinates for the placement of objects within world space.

It also allows you the ability to enter precise scaling amounts for a placed object in the world editor as well.

I would like a similar ability be extended to rotational adjustment of an object as well. There are a few situations where I need to place two seperate meshes together so that they interact with each other exactly. The current Mouse rotational controls are insufficient for my needs.

Thank you for your time.

RE: Precise rotational controls
Is there a way to get this functionality in? Rotating large objects with just the mouse in the editor doesn't work well especially if working with large 3D models.

RE: Precise rotational controls
Agreed.
Angle- and translation snap-toggle would be nice as well.

RE: Precise rotational controls
I third this motion. Having precise rotation and scaling values in the editor, based on x,y,z would make it a lot easier on some locations.

I would like to also see the snap-toggle ( and rotate object per given input value, say for example 10 degrees per "turn")

I would also like to see this added. It would make modular models far easier to use.

RE: Precise rotational controls
I will include this in the "secret thing I am working on"

as for the SDK World Editor, you could add this if you have partial editor source code (make a window with textlines, and upon modification of the textlines, modify all World.selObj orientation)

This is really good news and I am glad to hear it. I am sad that it took necromancy on an unanswered post from a half a year ago tho to spawn interest but late is better than never. Thanks, Necromancer Aceio76! I am in your debt!

Sufficiently important to me that it brought me back to posting.

RE: Precise rotational controls
thank you Esenthel. I am also very excited about this new feature comming to Esenthel. Seeing that you care enough about the customers to take the time listen to their request has made me decide that this is the game engine for me. I am going to pay the 99 dollars next payday and become a Licensed Developer!
-Again, thanks for makeing constant upgrades to your engine.

RE: Precise rotational controls
Question:

Will this be included in the Editor 1.0? Or is this feature only going to be available to new customers of the 2.0 editor?
