You can find the tool under Source Code | Tools.

I hope you will find it useful.

RE: New Tool Available: Config File Editor
Very nice. I have already written editors for game data but may consider switching over to this since it does provide some nice flexibility. I was expecting to pay a few bucks for it but I noticed it is free. You should charge a little something for it.

This is my way of saying, "no excuse to not use EE2.0 now" smile

Slight update to the tool, you will need to re-download to get the updated version:

- adjusted the history clean-up to check for manually deleted config files.

RE: New Tool Available: Config File Editor
I thought I'd share this question that was asked:

Is it possible to do multiple values under one entry?

One potential approach is to do something like this:
Code:
Type         Entry Name          Entry Value
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Str          DelimitedItem       value1;value2;value3

The entry value is one long string but actually has multiple values separated by semicolon.

When you read the config file for this entry, you can write the code the breaks apart the string value into multiple delimited string values by separating based on the ';' character.

But another approach is to actually have a separate config file that holds the multiple values:

Code:
Type         Entry Name          Entry Value
-----------------------------------------------------------------
UID          MultipleValue       UID_of_another_config_file
where the config file "UID_of_another_config_file" has the following entries:
Code:
Type         Entry Name          Entry Value
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Str          FirstValue          value1
Str          SecondValue         value2
Str          ThirdValue          value3

Looks pretty cool! I already have a config system of my own but I'm sure this will come in handy for many people. Thanks for sharing.
